Guild Feature: RebirthEX – Extraordinaire ~!

We finally have a Guild from Holywood! Today’s guild feature will be RebirthEX ~!

Guildmaster for RebirthEX will be ShujiIV/KanadeFuji

History

RebirthEX were originally known as “Waffles” ,  the guild master used to be DangoLover RebirthEX first sought to just be a simple PVE and social guild with no real goal.

Having no real goal set, the guild master eventually lost his will to play and passed the account to a relative and gave the guild leadership to me, ShujiIV/KanadeFuji

I couldn’t find an actual goal for the guild to work towards at first, it was just lvl 32 cap back then (I didn’t have a guild at level 24 cap)

I started reading the DN forums at mmosite.com and decided to make a guild that would prepare for the Sea Dragon nest.

I intended to look for guild members that would be interested in this long term goal of preparing,

And level 40 cap arrived and the guild member number increased to a 100.

Although people used to get a long most of the time, there were still times when the members would argue because of different use of language in the guild chat

Take note we recruit people from anywhere in the world as long as they speak and understand English.  

There never used to be any strict rules within the guild and that led to a lot of people leaving simply because of communication problems.

With a lot of members lost, I decided to start a new guild from scratch with only one goal at that time, SDN.

And a new guild was made – RebirthEX. EX is short for extraordinaire  

I knew the gear requirements and as well as coordination required for Sea Dragon Nest needed to be strict

With that in mind, I sought to find decent people that would stay committed and work towards our goal.

I didn’t want the same mistake to happen in the guild again so I made a few simple rules to be followed:

1. English only in the guild chat
2. No trolling/flaming
3. Respect for one another

I decided to become strict, and starting from no members at all we finally have around 90+ people in the guild again.

I wasn’t satisfied with only preparing for SDN, I wanted something more.

So I ventured into the PVP realm, I never really enjoyed group pvp and what I mostly did was 1v1 colosseum or ladder.

I actually started to enjoy pvp 1v1 when the server started to accept softban pvp, So I shared the concept with my guild members and we all started to pvp in this manner.

And before I realized it, a lot of us were practicing the softban rules and training almost everyday.

We understand that we’re not the strongest guild around, That’s why we train often so that we can be proud members of RebirthEX.

We make our members have the habit of saying “GLHF” – “Good luck have fun” before the game starts as well as GG/Good game later in order to have well mannered pvp-ers from our guild.

Eventually we had in-guild softban 1v1 tournaments, We hold one every last Saturday of the month using challonge.com for our brackets. (thanks to AikawaKazu for sharing the site)

With all that being said we’re still a guild that focuses on Sea Dragon preparation and 1v1 softban pvp.

If you’re looking for a guild that plans for SDN and does 1v1 softban pvp then feel free to join us, don’t expect the highest level of pvp-ers here or the highest level of geared players, we’re just a humble guild that wants to have fun at the same time have a goal while playing the game.

Once again, there will always be a short section for my own opinion regarding the guild

The first thing that caught me was that ShujiIV/KanadeFuji is probably a very decent guildmaster.

Not everyone realize that a goal or some form of target needs to be set for a guild and he realizes the importance of that.

Most players in the game looking for a guild is usually looking for a sense of identity that is common without a group of people.

Meaning to say, they are looking for other players who probably share the same principles as well as mindsets when playing the game.

Having a goal helps players do that which is why I will say that RebirthEX is probably in good hands

Aside from that, they didn’t mind not being a very known guild to send in their submission to be featured which is another thumbs up for courage and determination

The second thing that caught me is them enjoying softban pvp. Taking the argument on whether softban pvp is fair or not aside, I like how ShujiIV/KanadeFuji didn’t think he will enjoy PVP but once trying so actually did.

This was the same for me when I was only doing Ladder PVP, and when I finally decided to try softban PVP, I enjoyed it very much.

So for people skeptical about softban PVP and have not tried it yet, maybe you should try too!

RebirthEX even organize their own internal guild pvp using the brackets generator from challonge.com.

That is pretty impressive seeing that it will then be more organized as well!

So if you’re looking for a guild interested in Sea Dragon Nest as well as PVP, this guild has both!
