DNSEA V64 Game Patch – DNP Explained ~!

Since the game patch for Guild Wars there were many new changes introduced into the game

Many of them very very good changes.

For a compiled list of changes by players and myself, check out this thread below

http://forum.cherrycredits.com/topic/139857-quick-summaryoverview-of-changes-after-patch/

One of the changes made was the introduction of a new in-game currency DNP.

Very quickly there were many players that began asking me regarding this so I’ll do a short explanation as well an informative guide for everyone :D !

In this explanation & guide I’ll share a few things:

  • How has DNP Affected Dragon Nest SEA – Benefits, complications etc
  • How do acquire DNP? – Aside from buying them from using CC
  • What DNP can/cannot do for you?
  • Conclusion

So how has DNP Affected DNSEA?

Since the Game Patch v64 for DNSEA, players can now sell items in an alternative mode aside from gold in the trading house.

Note you cannot trade DNP, meaning it is strictly within the trading house for this mode of transaction.

Currently, the DNP market is still very unstable as many players are unsure the CC>Gold>DNP ratio.

To put it simply just for now, 1 CC is equivalent to 1 DNP

As you can see above, a 10,000 DNP Voucher costs 10,000 CC and like wise for 5000 DNP Voucher will cost 5000CC

In other words the rate for now is 1:1

So the main question is how much is 1 DNP converted to Gold?

Around end June this year, 1 CC is worth on average around 4 gold  Correction It’s 4 CC is worth an average of 1 Gold

This varies between items which could have more discounts due to buying a larger bulk.

So if you want to have an idea on how to price your items into CC, you can use the 1 CC : 1 DNP : 4 Gold ratio  4 CC : 4 DNP : 1 Gold Ratio for reference for now.

Know that this rate will definitely differ in due time as there are items that you can’t buy with DNP directly.

So what are the benefits of DNP?

In the past, players can only acquire Cash Items from CC-users who purchase them via the cash shop and place the said items on the trading house.

With the introduction of the DNP currency, players can now purchase a large number of Cash Shop items using DNP.

Though direct acquiring of DNP is only via the DNP Voucher which is only available for purchase using Cherry Credits, players can earn their own DNP via the sale of items on the trading house.

And they are not restricted by the demand and supply from Cash-Users now because now anyone can earn DNP if they managed to sell an item for DNP.

This is UNTRUE

In fact it’s almost the entire opposite.

Farmers now have selectivity with the introduction of DNP.

In the past to acquire cash items such as costumes without spending CC, you need to farm gold to purchase them via the Trading House.

However there’s always a risk of getting complications.

Either you are afraid of getting scammed because some costume sellers refuse to place their costume on the trading house, or while you’re buying off the trading house, some other player accidentally bought 1 of the pieces of the costume which caused you to have an incomplete set.

NOW, you can simply buy a single piece of costume using DNP (unlimited option possible as well) from the cash shop using DNP.

So instead of the loop of:

Sell Item -> Get Gold -> Buy from Trading House (Complications)

The possible NEW loop of acquiring cash items can now be:

Sell Item -> Get DNP -> Buy Cash Items (Free of complications)

This is not in addition to the fact that DNP can also purchase non-cash items as well!

In other words, DNP is definitely the way to go if you want to sell items that is highly demanded for.

Highly demanded items can be perfect potential weapons, accessories, 3rd stat heraldries, comet tails.

These are items that can be farmed by players for them to earn DNP.

Basically items some cash users rather buy with 100% probability then trying out their own luck.

Example is the sale of cash wings shown below.

This works both ways (both cash and non cash users beneft) because better than gambling your luck while buying gacha boxes in hope to get a movement speed wings, you can acquire them with 100% probability via the use of DNP

Most importantly I believe the best benefit of DNP is this: Fight against Gold Sellers

Because of large syndicate gold sellers in the game, inflation has been rampant.

Compare the prices of Seal Stamps in early 40 cap and current, you will definitely realized that it has increased from 1 seal stamp costing 15-20g to the current rate of 35-45g per piece or more.

And this will continue to increase as the game proceeds.

With the introduction of DNP, this will definitely help to curb inflation.

The only reason why there’s inflation is because syndicate gold farmers who increase the amount of gold within the game.

Gold Sellers attract Gold buyers.

To put it simply I’ll use a 3rd stat Final Damage Plate Lvl 40 as an example in a simple demand/supply concept.

In the past, 10,000 Gold was considered extremely high.

Now 10,000 Gold can’t buy you a 3rd Stat Final Damage Plate because it cost 33,000 Gold now @_@!

But why will someone bother pricing it at 33,000 Gold if he doesn’t believe that anyone will buy it?

So here’s the thing

Gold sellers Sell Gold to Gold Buyers.

Gold Buyers ask 3rd Stat FD Plate Seller his price.

Plate Seller knows there’s a demand for his plate among the “rich” players.

Plate is now priced at 33,000 gold because he knows the “rich” players can afford to buy it.

In other words because there’s a demand for such items, the supplier can price it at a super high price.

And this will continue to increase should you already have noticed because gold sellers make gold easily acquirable to gold buyers.

So what’s the difference between Gold and DNP?

Well technically, you can’t farm DNP directly simply by running dungeons.

This means that you can’t farm DNP directly unlike gold.

You need to go through multiple channels like crafting items to +10/12, disassembling them for comet dust, tails, run nests for plates etc.

In other words, it is extremely hard to replicate/mass-produce a.k.a bot for DNP which most gold farming syndicates actually do.

(Imagine gold syndicates with over 100 computers or more botting and running dungeons repeatedly to gain gold via the completion of dungeons)

You need to sell items for DNP.

Also unlike gold which does not expire in any sense, here’s an important information that all DNSEA players should know.

YES DNP CAN EXPIRE.

In other words, there’s no way someone can stockpile a huge amount of DNP and increase that stockpile over a long period of time.

I’ll explain the above with certain scenarios to make it clearer.

What it basically says is this:

Your DNP points that are earned more than 6 months ago will expire.

Here’s what I understand from the paragraph.

Every 30th June and 31st December, DNP points earned with a duration of more than 6 months will be gone.

In other words, these 2 dates are like “nest reset” timers which your DNP points will also reset.

But it’s not that simple, understand it with the various scenarios below:

Scenario 1:

Sold X item for 10,000 DNP on 29th June 2012

DNP Expiration Date:

31st December 2012

———————————

Scenario 2:

Sold X item for 10,000 DNP on 30th December 2012

DNP Expiration Date:

30th June 2013

—————————————

Scenario 3:

Sold X item for 10,000 DNP on  29th Jun 2012, and Y item for 15,000 DNP on 1st July 2012

Total DNP: 25,000 DNP

DNP Expiration Date:

10,000 DNP will expire on 30th December 2012

15,000 DNP will expire on 30 June 2013

——————————————

If you still don’t understand, the key words is more than 6 months

In other words, if your DNP is earned less than 6 months before the next “reset” date, the DNP earned for that item will expire in the next next reset date, which is probably .

This is an extremely important information to know.

You don’t want to not spend DNP that you have earned before they expire!

So how does one acquire DNP without buying DNP Vouchers?

You see, as there are still gold within the game, players can still sell items via gold.

Note that gold is still needed for enhancement as well as the upgrading of guild etc.

So there’s still a need for gold for some in-game mechanics.

Until the DNP market is stable and there’s enough of DNP injected into the game by cash-users, most miscellaneous items will still be sold via the gold option.

To earn DNP for now you will now need to look at items that cash-users will want to buy, so here are some:

  • Comet Tails
  • Spiral/Vortex Codes
  • +12/13 Weapons
  • Perfect Potential Accessories
  • Relevant 3rd stat Heraldries
  • Certain Items from Gacha Boxes (Movement Speed Wings)

Basically, items that are acquired after you have gambled the “luck” option for the cash-users themselves.

There are more items that could be added to the list, but until DNP becomes a mainstream currency, the abovementioned items can be looked into.

Below I’ll show some important items that can be bought via DNP

Note: If you can’t buy the item via DNP, the Buy DNP Option will be grey-ed out.

So many players said that you can’t buy jellies, seal stamps etc.

This is again untrue.

A general concept to what DNP can buy from the Cash Shop will be this:

All items that are discounted due to bulk purchase will not be available to be bought with DNP

Note: Blue Messenger Bird 10 can be bought via the DNP option, so not all bulk purchase is not available to be purchased via DNP, just most.

Altea Gacha Box (Premium Item) cannot be bought using DNP directly, but can be purchased from the trading house using DNP

In other words, you can still buy single pieces of costume (permanent option available), seal stamps, item protection jellies etc.

Just some of the examples shown above >_<

Note: Item protection Jelly also can be bought in portion of 1 with DNP as well.

So in other words, DNP can’t buy:

  • Full Discounted Packages of Costume/Seal Stamps/Item Protection Magic Jelly (100,50 seal stamps, 100/50/25 Item Protection Magic Jelly)
  • Altea Gacha Box (Both 1/10 can’t be bought)

Conclusion

I believe the introduction of DNP might be sudden but after thinking back rationally and logically, if it was something that was announced earlier, gold sellers will immediately wipe the market using all their gold to purchase items that they believe will sell for high DNP in advance.

Though there are players who have high amounts of gold  who are affected as well, the market for DNP has not settled down yet and you should still be able to purchase key items with your current gold pool.

In other words, I don’t think it was possible for CC to announce this introduction of the new DNP Currency, and it is indeed great that they didn’t.

Last but not least don’t forget that DNP can expire and I believe it will be the mainstream currency once the in-game economy has settled down for the better.

Hope I’ve once again helped players understand what DNP is about.

hi, i want ask you about this. how to get DNP?

  2. MinhPham says:

Thank you for very good explanation sir.

  3. Blitz says:

I am a bit confused here. You said that the theoretical ratio of gold to cc is 4 to 1. Which means that buying a seal stamp worth 250cc should be sold for gold at 1000g? I really hope you can explain more.

    • hudang says:

      its the contrary dude..
      DNP:GOld = 1:4 not 4:1

so if seal stamp is worth 250 DNP then if we change its to gold >> 250/4= 75 gold…

      • hudang says:

wait. after i read it again..
yeah its written that 1:4 ratio.
then 1 seal stamp is 1000 gold..

        maybe he got wrong?

        because, in my server (greenwood)
1 seal stamp is worth 50-60 gold.
        so the ratio is 250(CC/DNP) : 50 (gold) >> 5 : 1

  4. HW-Acro says:

so it means that, registering an item under DNP currency means I dont have to pay the fee for register as well as total(checking-out) it. But for now… I’ll wait for it to get stable, items registered in DNP still sell as if they were gold, meaning OP.

One more thing, if the seal stamps now cost 35-45G due to gold sellers, would that mean there are a lot of them at Holywood? 1 seal stamp costs 60-70G here >.<

  5. burger says:

however, DNP from rich user. and rich user will buy item using DNP from free user. and how many rich user in this game?

    rich user 1 : 100 free user

how can this system will be fair to free user?
why dont GM make gold converter? buy DNP using gold in game.

if someone look this converter gold DNP will waste of gold. it better than waste of money cash

  6. AikawaKazu says:

sorry about giving the wrong ratio, fixed it :D thanks for leaving behind comments what it should be :)

  7. Yok says:

HAHAHA! Ratio confusion.. a lot of players selling 5000 DNP Voucher for an ave of 2100G that means

    5000DNPorCC/2100G = 2.4Gold thus 1CC : 1DNP cost 2.4Gold

    5000DNPorCC/175Php = 28Php thus 1CC cost 28Php

    1CC = Burger!!!

  8. Yok says:

    Conclusion

The Highly demanded items will keep increasing in CC/DNP
that means for PROFIT for CherryCredits!! Wuhoo! and the winner is…

and that is why they call thier Project SUCCESSFUL!
    way to go Mr.Kang!! :-bd

    this how you do business

  9. YanZuu says:

    Naahhh finally…
Thakyou Kazu, For ur explanation about DNP-CC, now i gt it…

    Keep it up ^_^v

  10. CashUser11 says:

I have a question if you sold any item for DNP in TH on a certain server for example in springwood can you carry over that DNP in other servers too?
