Section 3 – Item Builds

In this section I’ll only touch on item builds for Ice Build Elemental Lords

For Fire-Build Elemental lords, simply refer to Lyzbeth’s current gear set-up

http://www.dneternity.com/latest-gears/lyzbeth/

The reason why Ice Build Elemental Lord item build is of focus here is because they do not benefit from the Hell-fire passive buff.

So this section is basically trying to help future Elestra as they wait for the next level cap but still want to be viable in PVE.

The build I’ll want to recommend here is the Critical Build for Ice build ELs

This also works for Hybrid EL Build – Blizzard Storm

This is very similar in trying to build a moonlord that as 10k crit as swordmasters do not have hell-fire passive skill as well.

I’ll provide 3 item builds – Most Affordable, Recommended & Ideal

Most Affordable

For critical builds, the first thing you want to achieve is the Critical Cap for that respective level.

For level 40 cap, 10,000 Critical is what you need.

So priority will always go into achieving that.

This is the principle of this most affordable Build.

Armors

5 Piece Cerberus/Manticore Armors (AGI/INT/HP Potentials)

For prefix…

4Intellect 1HP if you’re a skillful player that can dodge pretty well.

4HP 1 Intellect if you have doubts in dodging boss mechanics during nests

Why we don’t go for wind prefix even though we are doing a critical build is that the benefit of getting a high base INT from intellect prefix is definitely more important than the little 3.5 crit we get per AGI when we craft wind.

Critical stat can be gotten from other places.

Weapons

2 Level 40 Rare +10/11/12 Orb & Staff (Matk/stat/Crit17% Potentials)

For prefix you can go double intellect for the stacking of the elemental resist debuff which can go up to -22%. This benefits your party as well.

Double magic power also works if you just want a nice looking magic attack on your character screen.

Accessories

Fatal Sylvie Ana Rings x 2 (AGI/INT/Ice8%)

Why not Matk/Agi/Int potentials?

16% more damage for your ice spells will benefit you more if you’re a pure ICE Build elemental lord as bulk of your skills will be ice based.

If you’re hybrid EL but leaning to Blizzard Storm, go for Matk/Agi/Int Potentials.

Wind Sylvie Ana Necklace/Earring (AGI/INT/HP Potentials)

Heraldries

Lvl 40 Premium Wind Heraldry

Lvl 40 Premium Fatal Heraldry

Lv40 Premium Magician Heraldry

Lvl40 Premium Wise Heraldry

These 4 plates are a must get even if you can’t get any with 3rd stats on them.

The rest of the 4 plates, find cheap Lvl40 3rd stat Critical Heraldries that are usually ones like Blessed (Critical Resist), Undaunting (Paralyze Resist) and other seemingly less useful plates which will definitely cost a lot lesser compared to the 4 main plates that I’ve mentioned.

You will need 4 Lvl40 3rd stat Crit heraldry plates if you only have 2 Crit 17% potentials.

Should you be able to afford 1 Fatal ring with critical 17% potentials, the number of 3rd stat crit plates will definitely be reduced.

Note that this build damage output will only be mediocre at best, but if you like seeing yellow-damage or critical damage appearing while you’re playing then you can make do with this item build.

Recommended Build  - Require substantial time and investment

The recommended build is simply an improvement on the Most Affordable Build.

The only change will be in the accessories.

Go for Magician Sylvie Ana ring with critical 17% potentials x2 which increases your base magic attack while still being able to achieve 10k critical.

Also going for Magician Sylvie Ana Ring with crit 17% potentials allows you to use Lvl40 Epic weapons like Manticore Staff/Orb with 8% Ice Attack instead which gives you the Final Damage bonus from full set manticore as well.

Add in an Ultimate Plate in your enhancement heraldry list and your damage will be increased exponentially.

The number of 3rd stat Critical Heraldries you need might increase by one when you do the switch but you can also switch out your wind necklace/earrings for wise ones to further increase your base INT thereby your magic attack.

The recommended build will take some time and gold to make, so if you’re new, start on the most affordable build first so that you can start farming, and after which upgrade your gears one by one.

The last build which is the ideal build is not for the faint hearted.

Not for the faint-Hearted Ice EL Build

10k Critical 657 FD Ice Build Elemental Lord

Armors

5 Piece Manticore Armors (AGI/INT/HP Potentials)

Weapons

Manticore Staff / Orb +10 (Matk/stat/Crit17% Perfect Potential)

Accessories

Judgement/Disciplinary Neckace/Earring (AGI/INT/HP)

Make sure you get it as a set/pair, meaning judgment apocalypse necklace AND earring or disciplinary apocalypse necklace AND earring

Revelation Apocalypse Ring x 2 (Matk/Stat/Stat/Crit17% Perfect Potential)

Without all the wind accessories and fatal rings, you will need 6-7 Lvl40 3rd stat Critical Enhancement Heraldries to hit around 10k Critical

Though you will not have any Ice 8% potentials but your base magic attack will definitely be high.

The benefit from 657 Final Damage is definitely better than going for 16% Ice Attack instead.

This will be the best and probably most expensive item build one can go for as a Ice Build Elemental Lord which also means that you should not try this unless you’re prepared to spend close to 50,000 gold or even much more given the DN SEA community in your server.

The most expensive item will be getting the crit potential on your Revelation Apocalypse Rings. You can opt for Judgement Apocalypse Rings with crit potentials instead if you’re able to buy if off someone who got lucky when coding it, but make sure you get a pair of it.

Skill Heraldries for PVE Ice build EL (Fire Build refer to Lyzbeth’s Gears)

You need not follow this to the letter but it’s what I feel would be the conventional skill heraldries to have.

Chilling Mist 20% Dmg

Glacial Wave 20% Increase in Debuff Duration

Shatter 20% DMG

Blizzard Storm 20% DMG – Know that blizzard storm hits pretty hard if you stack the ice resistance debuff nicely

Feel free to recommend other PVE Set up skill plates as comments below as I admit that I am not that familiar with Ice Build ELs.

  1. Falze says:

if yout gonna ice build EL i suggest change shatter heraldry to icy stab/frozen spikes. it deals good damage at high level and a good skill to block sight or even distract a rushing SM/Merce towards you

  2. bowmeow says:

Just asking, for pvp-wise (i’m referring to compensation off) , is it better to pump fire/ice attack + magic attack, rather than crit + magic attack? Since most players would probably have high crit resist. And pvp-wise too would having all intellect as the suffix for my armors allow me to survive too? As opposed to having all HP suffix for my armors.
