Stage 5 – V2 Trio Lizard Brothers

This is the 2nd variation for Stage 5

If you’re looking for the first variation it is here

Video Footage of this guide can be found here

The second variation will be to tackle 3 Lizard Brothers.

You will need to kill all 3 lizards within 10seconds of the first that is killed, otherwise they will respawn again

The strategy undertaken by Eternity is  simply but has it’s inherent risks.

If you prefer a safer strategy, refer to FREEDOM’s SDN Guide by Chaose5 here

Our strategy will be to simply gather all 3 lizards at the centre, and DPS them altogether.

This is done while focusing on the strongest Lizard, while taking note of the hp status of the other 2 lizards.

We will gather all 3 to kill them together when we meet these requirements:

1. Strongest Lizard 0.5x HP bar

2. 2nd Strongest Lizard 1xHP Bar

3. Ultimate skills are available for killing the 3 lizards fast

Weakest lizard dies extremely fast so there’s no need to worry about him.

To determine which lizard is the strongest, upon entering the area, cast miracle relic at the centre.

The priest will then call out  which lizard is the strongest.

Note which lizard is the weakest or strongest is random.

This means that every time you get this variation of Stage 5, anyone of them can be the strongest lizard.

Paladins will then provoke all 3 lizards and lure them to the centre area.

Use all ultimate skills at the the start because it will take awhile to kill off the strongest lizard.

Periodically, all 3 lizards will burrow underground

Gather back at the centre again for re-buffs, healing etc. when the lizards go underground.

When they re-appear they will be scatter around again, paladins to provoke them back to the centre.

The danger about this variation of the stage is this.

Whenever the lizards burrow and reappear, they might immediately cast their “ultimate” skills

Ultimate are AOE based skills that deal 5-10k DMG per tick from EACH boss

The skill works like the Lightning Ogre from Apocalypse Nest whereby the safe zones are close to the boss demarcated by a “glowing circular ring” around them when they are casting this “ultimate”

See screenshot below for example on how this “circular ring looks like”

Note that this ring will be similar for the other 2 lizards as well.

Which is why our strategy works.

In other guides they mentioned that the lizards can cast the ultimate skills immediately all the time after they reappear, we found that to be untrue.

The lizards will usually cast 1 or 2 skills before going  into using their AOE ultimate skills.

We tried separating into 2 groups before and separate the bosses far from each other was pointless since if it was to avoid the AOE ultimate skills by the boss in the first place we need to be close to them instead of far away.

i.e to say that even after separate 2 of the stronger lizards far from each other, there’s still a possibility of getting hit.

Since avoidance of the ultimate skills by the lizards were of “luck” since you will not be able to separate them in time after they re-appear, we found the strategy of separating the boss far apart to be pointless.

In other words, always keep all 3 bosses in the centre, and if they do cast their AOE Ultimate Skills, you will be within the safe zone

Hence whenever the boss burrows, here’s what you need to do.

1. Rotate Between Miracle Relics from 2 priests (Make sure to use Beyond Time after that)

2. Rotate between Highlander (if you have 2 warriors)

After which, simply rinse and repeat (pulling all 3 lizards to the centre), and bring them to this recommended HP Status mentioned above before getting ready to kill them altogether.

There’s no rush once the strongest lizard is close to dying.

Before burning them, make sure all 3 lizards are spawned so that you get a fresh 10 seconds to burn all the 3 lizards.

The weakest lizard dies extremely fast so there’s no need to worry about him.

After which, Mercenary can use Cyclone Axe to pull all 3 lizards together while disabling them at the same time.

And that’s it!

This stage will cause a few panic moments but no need to worry.

As long as you rotate between your defensive skills like miracle relic and highlander, with all the other buffs as well, you should be fine.

Key is to be patient and make sure you get a 100% chance to burn all 3 lizards together or you end up doing it again like us in the video!

Also if you happen to screw up, don’t worry, just stay calm and repeat what you did. With beyond time, you should have enough skills that will go off cooldown to save you.

Note: From our own experience, using skills like circle swing, electric smite, half-moon slash, <insert super armor breaking skills> will not cancel the boss from using his AOE ultimate skill. In other words, our version of SDN doesn’t allow you to cancel the skill once it is being cast. Using those skills to keep the boss juggled will help, but will not help in the situation whereby they cast their AOE ultimate skill upon re-appearing after their burrow. Meaning to say, key to surviving in this fight will be knowing how to rotate between key defensive skills like highlander and miracle relic, after which it is up to team work and coordination to ensure everyone says alive at this stage.

Other important information will be that the strongest lizard can cast “berserk” on all 3 lizards which increases their AOE ultimate skill damage greatly. Mercenary can use disenchanting how to remove the berserk status! This will not be much of a issue if you rotate between key defensive skills mentioned earlier on.

Once again, I hope this guide is useful :)

Next stage which is Golem Mountan or Monta is another hurdle for aspiring Sea Dragon Nest Parties :D

Cheers,

AikawaKazu

Wow, this guide is great! Thx Kazu :)
1 question though, is the re-appearing spot of the 3 lizards always the same? Or is it random? If it’s the same, we can separate ourselves to those 3 spots when they re-appear.

    Thank you again sir! :)
